There seems to be something missing regarding cavalry fighting infantry in open woods. The infantry don't have to try to go to square but they get a -3 while the cavalry do not. The cavalry just get a fatigue hit. The infantry if in line take a -6 for being in contact with cavalry. IE infantry -9 while cavalry just take a FH so effectively take a -1. Is this the intention? Have I missed something as this does not seem correct.
The -3 for fighting in open woods applies to Cavalry also. Originally all the Tactical Engagement Factors for all troop types were on one chart when we split it into Cavalry and Infantry this factor escaped.
As you cannot be a square in open/normal woods, P68 chart I would suggest the -3 replaces the -6 so both cavalry and infantry would get the -3 Tactical factor and the -1 per move for moving in open/normal, woods unless in open or skirmish formations.
I will discuss this with Ade, please anyone do add your thoughts here too.
